Agritourism and Bio Resort
As the name suggests, Torre di Baratti is situated in the enchanting Gulf of Baratti, in a wonderful, panoramic location nestled between the sea and the surrounding hills with the old road that leads directly to Populonia.
Baratti and Populonia have so much to offer in terms of both history and culture. Torre di Baratti is a private Bio Resort where modern comfort meets a classic, elegant Italian style, surrounded by the most beautiful Tuscan countryside.
Split across three levels, the resort is composed of there suites, two twin room apartments and an apartment suite located in the old tower with a stunningly beautiful sea view; the resort also boasts a private terrace with sea view, private parking, outside dining area, breakfast room and restaurant, sun beds and a maze of private pathways through olive groves.
Beach
There is a private path from the estate that leads to a wonderful rocky beach, where our guests can enjoy swimming and admire the stunning beauty of the Gulf of Baratti.

Rooms and Apartments
Peaceful and bright, the rooms in the resort are elegantly furnished with mediterranean décor, with unique and accurate details by the architect Zeno Pucci. Facilities include a wardrobe, bathroom with shower, flatscreen TV, minibar, kettle, and air conditioning/heating.
The apartments on the ground floor have their own private entrance, with a private outside space. The apartments also boast a modern and fully-accessorised retractable kitchen in addition to the same facilities of our suites, a sofa bed and additional furniture.

Cuisine – Opening March 2024
For the 2023 season, our kitchen has been transformed into a “stop” and has chosen to offer guests its own selection of local cheeses and cured meats, produced by us, as our grandparents did, accompanied by bakery products, sourdough and with the use of selected flours. Delicious sauces to dress everything and the possibility of tasting our biodynamic wines, a Vermentino (Munica) and a grench (Fartan).

A bit of history
2500 Years ago there were 40,000 residents here, now there are just 25. Populonia was a key Etruscan city, and one of the main ports of the Mediterranean. Today, going down the Maremma coastline and following the peninsula that hides Piombino and the Gulf of Follonica, you will encounter a citadel, high up in the hills, protected by its 40 odd houses, overlooking the coastal village of Baratti.
The location is a wonderful mix of Mediterranean and Etruscan settings with the wonderful fragrances of nature.
Peace and beauty – what else could one ask for? And knowing that in the 50s this was the setting of the first Italian Club.
